ΔΙΕΘΝΕΣ ΚΥΠΡΟΛΟΓΙΚΟ ΣΥΝΕΔΡΙΟ International Cyprological Congress

Ως Πρόεδρος της Οργανωτικής Επιτροπής του Κυπρολογικού Συνεδρίου θα ήθελα να σας ενημερώσω ότι δεν κατέστη δυνατό να προχωρήσουμε στη διοργάνωση του Συνεδρίου το 2013 όπως είχε εξαγγελθεί λόγω των άσχημων οικονομικών συγκυριών, οι οποίοι καθιστούν δύσκολη την ανεύρεση πόρων ακόμα και για την ολοκλήρωση της έκδοσης των Πρακτικών του προηγούμενου Συνεδρίου.

Έχουν εκδοθεί τα Πρακτικά του Νεότερου και Αρχαίου Τμήματος και ελπίζουμε να εκδώσουμε ως το τέλος του έτους και τον Μεσαιωνικό τόμο.

Προσανατολιζόμαστε να διοργανώσουμε το επόμενο Κυπρολογικό Συνέδριο το 2017, έτος κατά το οποίο η Πάφος θα είναι πολιτιστική πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης και τα πράγματα στην οικονομία θα είναι καλύτερα.

As President of the Organizing Committee of the V Cyprological Congress I would like to inform you that it was not possible to proceed to the organization of the Congress in 2013 as announced because of the bad economic conditions, which made the fundraising very difficult. The difficulties are so big even for the completion of the ipubblication of the Proceedings the previous Congress.

Already have been pubblished the Proceedings of the Modern and the Ancient Sections and the pubblication of the Proceedings of the Medieval Section will be possible by the end of the year.

The Committee is oriented to organize the V. International Cyprological Congress in 2017, the year in which the city of Paphos will be European Capital of Culture and the things in the Cyprus economy will be better.
